The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Khalifa, chaired an expanded meeting at the Presidency headquarters in Al-Rajma, which included the chiefs of the service staffs and commanders of military departments.
The meeting included the discussion of several important files, and a series of decisions and directives were announced aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the Libyan Armed Forces and radically reorganizing them.
The decisions included launching a comprehensive plan to modernize the armed forces, encompassing administrative and operational restructuring, and developing training and combat readiness to build a professional and organized army capable of protecting the nation’s security and stability.
They also included tightening security measures on the borders through the activation of integrated field patrols supported by drones and modern technologies to counter any potential threats.
Also, direct directives were given to the military police and prisons administration to maintain public security and deal firmly with violators, stressing that no one is above the law.
Lieutenant General Khaled Khalifa stressed the necessity of adhering to military discipline and cohesion in all units of the armed forces, ensuring readiness and discipline in the execution of national duties.
