Sebha – The Cities Reorganization Committee, headed by Major General Jamal Al-Amami, destroyed a large quantity of pills considered an alternative to the narcotic Tramadol. This was part of ongoing efforts to combat the spread of mind-altering substances, conducted after the completion of necessary legal procedures and in the presence of representatives from the Public Prosecution.
The destruction took place in the area beyond the “Gwairat Al-Mal” gate at the northern entrance of Sebha, in a move that confirms the commitment of the committee and security services to continue the security campaign aimed at tackling the phenomenon of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
The committee affirmed the continuation of these field operations in coordination with law enforcement and judicial authorities to target dens of illicit substances and to deal firmly with anyone who threatens the city’s security or attempts to destabilize it, stressing that protecting the youth from these scourges remains one of its primary priorities.
