The Libyan Government’s Minister of Communications and Informatics, Salem Al-Darsi, held an expanded meeting with the Board of Directors of the Libyan Holding Company and a number of its subsidiary branches in the Eastern Region to discuss the state of telecommunications services and the challenges they face, according to the Ministry’s statement on Thursday.
The meeting addressed the state of the infrastructure, poor communications coverage in some areas and on roads, in addition to the stalled implementation of several projects supervised by sector companies, while also discussing possible solutions to overcome these obstacles.
During his speech, the Minister stressed the need to enhance continuous coordination between the branches and the Ministry to ensure work proceeds efficiently. He emphasized following up on all issues raised and taking the necessary actions to resolve them, with a commitment to supporting the branches and enabling them to carry out their tasks to the fullest.
The meeting was attended by representatives from several of the sector’s operating companies, including: Almadar, Libyana, Hatif Libya, Aljeel Aljadeed, Libya Telecom & Technology, Al-Bunya, and Libya Post.
