On Thursday, the General Electricity Company announced the completion of comprehensive maintenance at the 66/11 kV West Ajdabiya substation, as part of its strategic plan to increase the efficiency of the electrical grid and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
In a statement, the company clarified that the maintenance work included replacing and servicing the high-voltage (66 kV) cable termination, noting that the maintenance teams completed the work with high technical precision. The station was successfully re-energized within the specified schedule, without any recorded faults or power outages.
The company’s management affirmed that this step is a continuation of its efforts to modernize and develop the electrical infrastructure, with the goal of enhancing grid stability and ensuring the continuity of the power supply, especially in the Oil Crescent regions, which are among the country’s most vital centers.
It added that the company continues to implement a comprehensive program of maintenance and technical rehabilitation for its stations and components in various regions, as part of its endeavor to increase the reliability of the electrical system and improve overall service performance to meet the needs of citizens efficiently and sustainably.
