Confirmed Ebola cases in Congo rise to 933

Kinshasa – The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s Health Minister announced Friday that confirmed cases of Ebola in the country have risen to 933, including 245 deaths. Speaking to reporters in Ituri province, where the first cases of the current outbreak were recorded, Minister Samuel Roger Kamba stated that 80 patients have recovered and been discharged from Ebola treatment centers.

Previously, a World Health Organization official said that 75 healthcare workers in the DRC have contracted the Ebola virus.
