Morocco defeats Scotland with a goal from Sibari to temporarily top Group Three in 2026 World Cup qualifiers

Boston – Morocco secured a crucial 1-0 win over Scotland on Saturday morning in the second round of Group C matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match, held at Gillette Stadium in Boston, saw a strong start from the Atlas Lions. Ismail Saibari scored the game’s only goal in the second minute, giving Morocco an early advantage they maintained until the final whistle.

Both teams showed great competitiveness throughout the match, but Morocco’s defense held strong to preserve the lead. With this victory, Morocco earned three valuable points, strengthening their chances of advancing to the next round.

The result puts Morocco temporarily at the top of Group C with four points, pending the completion of the remaining round matches and final group standings.
