Dbeibeh calls Erdogan after testing positive for COVID-19

The Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, has made a phone call to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the Turkish presidency’s statement on Twitter.

The Turkish presidency statement said that during the call Dbeibeh expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery to President Erdogan and his wife, Emine Erdogan, after they tested positive for Covid-19.

In a separate tweet, Turkish President said: “I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, for calling me and wishing me a recovery, and I also salute my Libyan brothers.”

It is noteworthy that Erdogan and his wife tested positive last Saturday for Coronavirus Omicron variant.
