Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, the Tripoli-based premier, held a meeting on Sunday with military commanders and senior representatives of the Presidential Council to discuss “the latest developments in the military and security situation in the country,” according to a statement by the council.
The Chief of the General Staff of forces loyal to Dbeibeh’s government, Lieutenant-General Muhammad Al-Haddad, and the head of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant-General Hussein Al-Aib attended the meeting which took place at the council’s headquarters. The council’s deputies, Abdullah Al-Lafi, and Musa Al-Koni, were also present.
