The Libyan outgoing Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, received the Italian Prime Minister, Georgia Meloni, and her accompanying delegation in Tripoli on Saturday, according Dbeibeh’s Media Office.
The Italian Nova News Agency said on Thursday that Meloni intends to visit Libya, on Saturday, at the head of a delegation that includes Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Interior Minister Matteo Piantidossi.
The Agency stated that Meloni’s visit “includes several stops and various institutional meetings with Libyan leaders.”
It added that, on the same day, new oil agreements could be signed between Eni and the Libyan National Oil Corporation.
