Deputy chairman of Libya’s Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met on Sunday with Qatar’s Ambassador to Libya, Khaled Muhammad Al-Dosari.
During the meeting, which was held the council’s headquarters in Tripoli, the two discussed “mechanisms for addressing the political deadlock, and ways to support the initiative of the UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily,” according to a statement by the council.
Al-Lafi presented Al-Dosari with an overview of the work done by the council to convene an “inclusive national conference, with the participation of all political parties”.
For his part, the Qatari ambassador commended the council for its work on national reconciliation, as per the Presidential Council’s statement.
