The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, met with a number of sheikhs and notables of the Ubari municipality in the Al-Ghurayfa area. The meeting was part of the General Command’s ongoing communication with various social components, embodying the approach of national contribution and continuing efforts to support the stability of southern Libya.
The sheikhs and notables of Ubari expressed their appreciation and pride in this meeting, stressing that it restored their confidence that the voice of the south is heard and that its people are active partners in the nation’s journey and its stability.
Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar praised the honorable national stances demonstrated by the people of Ubari throughout the various stages the country has gone through, affirming that the era of marginalization is over. He stated that this meeting represents the launch of a new phase derived from the “Together for the South” initiative, launched by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu al-Qasim Haftar, which aims to restore the south as a safe and prosperous region, considering it the beating heart of Libya and the source of its strength and unity.
