Al-Kuweifiya Hospital Prepares to Launch the Fourth Scientific Conference on Respiratory Diseases

Benghazi– The management of Al-Kuweifiya Hospital for Chest Diseases is preparing to launch the fourth scientific conference on respiratory diseases and tuberculosis, which will be held on November 7th and 8th at the “Expo Libya” fairgrounds in the city of Benghazi.

A select group of doctors and experts from Libya and several Arab countries, including Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, and the UAE, will participate in the conference.

Laila Al-Onizi, a specialist in chest diseases and tuberculosis and the assistant director of Al-Kuweifiya Hospital, stated to the Libyan News Agency that the conference targets doctors, auxiliary medical personnel, and laboratory technicians, as well as the general public.

She explained that the primary goal is to highlight the infectious disease of pulmonary tuberculosis and to raise health awareness about its prevention methods.

Al-Onizi added that the conference also aims to exchange expertise and knowledge among doctors and researchers and to enhance regional cooperation in combating pulmonary tuberculosis, which is considered one of the most prominent health challenges globally.

She pointed out that the conference will be an important scientific platform for exchanging research and opinions among specialists, stressing that the wide participation from within and outside Libya reflects the growing interest in efforts to combat this disease.

Laila Al-Onizi concluded her statement by expressing her wishes for the success of the conference and the achievement of its scientific and awareness goals, inviting all citizens to attend and contribute to spreading health awareness for the prevention of pulmonary tuberculosis.
