Benghazi – The Director General of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, Engineer Belqasem Haftar, has launched the second Libyan-American Development and Reconstruction Forum in Benghazi. The event was attended by the president and members of the Libyan-American Business Council, along with representatives from several American companies.
According to a statement from the fund, the forum discussed opportunities for American companies and experts to participate in various development sectors. Participants also explored partnerships with Libyan companies and professionals, in light of ongoing and planned projects in Benghazi and across Libya.
Haftar emphasized the importance of moving beyond discussion to tangible programs and projects. He stated these efforts will help improve services, transfer knowledge, and strengthen national expertise.
The fund noted that the second edition of the forum aims to expand international partnerships and benefit from specialized expertise to support development and reconstruction projects in Libya.
