Jalu – Mayor of the Jalu Municipal Council Ahmed Masad Al-Sadiq met with Libya’s Acting Minister of Health Abdul Salam Aqila to discuss ways to improve healthcare services in the city. The meeting focused on the major needs of the health sector and mechanisms to support medical facilities.
Both sides discussed the health situation in Jalu in detail. They addressed the need to provide doctors and medical staff, support current employees at health institutions, and fully activate hospitals and clinics to ensure comprehensive services for residents.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of supplying medicines and essential medical equipment. Officials stressed supporting health facilities with tools and resources needed to improve service quality and strengthen their ability to meet patient needs.
Yesterday’s discussions included plans to develop the kidney department in Jalu. The goal is to enhance care for kidney patients, ease their suffering, and provide necessary treatments locally to reduce the need for travel outside the city.
The two parties stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the municipal council and the Ministry of Health to address challenges facing the health sector. They agreed to seek practical solutions to develop services and raise the standard of care in Jalu in line with the community’s needs and expectations.
