The Vice President of the Libyan Ummah Party, Ahmed Dougha, has considered the imposition of sanctions on those obstructing the path to a political solution in Libya to be an absolute necessity, noting that there are multiple types of sanctions that can be applied.
Dougha explained in exclusive statements to Erem News that the UN mission’s adoption of these measures will contribute to achieving positive results that facilitate the resolution of the country’s political crisis.
He pointed out that the success of UN Envoy Hanna Tetteh’s initiative is contingent on the seriousness of the mission and the countries involved in Libyan affairs, noting that the correct implementation of these mechanisms will ward off the specter of war and open the door to stability.
