Ahmed Dogha, the Deputy Head of the Libyan Ummah Party, confirmed preparations for a dialogue sponsored by the UN Mission under the supervision of Hanna Tetteh, with the participation of a wide spectrum of Libyan segments, including political parties, cultural components, and others, in a statement to “Erem News.”
Comprehensive Representation
Dogha explained that the Mission seeks to involve the largest possible number of national components in this process to ensure broader representation.
Success Hinges on Implementation
He stated that the dialogue’s success or failure represents a major challenge for Tetteh and is linked to the extent to which participants’ recommendations are taken seriously and agreements are actually implemented. He considered that if this is achieved, the dialogue will succeed, and the outcomes will stem from the participants’ outputs, not from the dictates of the Mission or others.
Obstruction Attempts Expected
Dogha expected that some parties will seek to obstruct the upcoming dialogue.
