Member of the House of Representatives Abdel Nasser Al-Naas confirmed his views. He stated that structured dialogue can help establish a clear mechanism for the next government. However, the selection of the government remains the prerogative of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State.
Al-Naas made a statement to Al-Masar TV. He said the problem always lies in implementing recommendations. A government might take power and not adhere to agreed-upon terms. This occurred with the Dbeibah government.
He emphasized the role of the UN mission. It supports conflicting parties. It also attempts to mediate and find solutions among them. The mission is not tasked with forming a government. It does not impose agendas on Libya.
Al-Naas explained this further. Some ideas from the dialogue might be effective. They could be used to address the current crisis. However, these ideas are not binding. This applies if parties consider them unfeasible.
