Benghazi – The Al-Dareeh Cultural Center in Benghazi hosted a cultural honoring ceremony Monday evening. It celebrated young artist Ziad Al-Sahati. The event recognized his distinguished appearance. He honorably represented Libyan art. This was during the Arab talent show “The Voice Kids.”
The ceremony honored emerging talents. It saw participation from many cultural and media institutions. These included Burniq Cultural Magazine, part of Burniq Aviation Company. The Al-Salam Center for Studies and Research also participated. The Al-Dareeh Cultural Center was also involved. A select group of cultural and artistic enthusiasts attended. The young artist’s family members were also present.
Issa Abdul Qayoum, editor-in-chief of Burniq Cultural Magazine, attended. Dr. Faraj Najm was also present. He is the Director General of the Al-Salam Center for Studies and Research. Alaa Al-Kazza, director of the Al-Dareeh Cultural Center, also participated. Osama Al-Sahati, the young artist’s father, was there. Many media professionals and other interested individuals attended.
The editor-in-chief of Burniq Cultural Magazine spoke at the event. He said honoring Ziad Al-Sahati celebrates the authentic Libyan spirit. It also embodies its creative presence in Arab forums. Al-Sahati’s appearance on “The Voice Kids” reflected a honorable image of Libyan art. It confirmed the ability of national talents to compete and excel.
He added that supporting emerging talents is a national and societal duty. He emphasized that cultural and economic institutions are keen to adopt initiatives. These initiatives promote creativity. The honors and gifts given to the young artist aim to encourage his artistic journey.
The Al-Salam Center for Studies and Research made a special gesture. Its Director General awarded “Al-Mukhtar’s Necklace” to the young artist. He also presented a collection of the center’s publications. This gesture received praise from attendees. It symbolized appreciation for national talents.
The ceremony concluded by emphasizing the importance of continued support for emerging Libyan creativity. It also stressed strengthening partnerships between cultural and media institutions. This nurtures and refines young talents. It helps highlight Libya’s cultural and artistic presence regionally. It also promotes it internationally.
