Benghazi -The Investigations, Evidence Collection, and Arrest Department of the Criminal Investigation Agency successfully apprehended a drug dealer in possession of a large quantity of hallucinogenic pills and hashish, as part of a well-planned security operation targeting drug traffickers and tracking their illegal activities.
The operation was launched after receiving precise information that an individual was trafficking Tramadol pills and possessed hashish. A carefully planned security ambush was set up in the Qatar neighborhood of Benghazi, during which the suspect was lured in and arrested upon his arrival in a BMW-type vehicle.
Upon searching the vehicle, 990 Tramadol pills, distributed in ten packages, were found, in addition to five slabs of “Besport” type hashish. The seized items were confiscated in accordance with established legal procedures.
The suspect was placed in legal custody pending referral to the Public Prosecution to complete the investigation and take necessary legal action against him.
This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by the Criminal Investigation Agency to combat drug trafficking, eliminate the sources of drug distribution, and apprehend outlaws to preserve the security and safety of the community.
