The National Center of Meteorology forecasted continued typical summer conditions across most parts of the country on Thursday. Humidity levels are expected to rise in northern areas, especially along the coast. Thunderclouds with varying rainfall are likely to develop this evening and on Friday.
High temperatures will range from 30 to 37 degrees Celsius in northern regions. Central and southern areas can expect temperatures between 38 and 43 degrees. Temperatures are anticipated to begin dropping from Friday.
Thunderclouds are forecast for Bani Walid and some mountain regions this evening, bringing light to moderate showers. On Friday, rain chances will extend to scattered areas along the coast from Ras Ajdir to Qara Buli, as well as some mountain areas.
Strong northerly winds are expected today in eastern Libya, particularly in Marj, Jabal al-Akhdar, and up to Derna. Winds will also intensify in the southeast, possibly raising dust and sand in some locations.
The center expects overall weather conditions to remain relatively stable across most of Libya until mid-next week.
