Tunisian Foreign Minister Nabil Ammar met with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry to discuss developments in the Libyan file during a working visit to Egypt.
Ammar and Shoukry held the 15th round of meetings of the Political Consultation Committee in Tunisia’s capital Tunis, attended by delegations from both countries. Shoukry was also received by President Kais Saied at the presidential palace.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two sides discussed “various regional and international issues of common interest, chiefly the situation in Libya and the Palestinian cause, the issue of the Renaissance Dam, the Arab follow-up to resolve the Syrian crisis, the Sudanese crisis, the repercussions of the Ukrainian crisis on the region and both countries, the issue of irregular migration, as well as relations with international financing institutions.”
