Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shourkry held talks with Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar in Benghazi today.
Shourkry flew to meet Haftar after attending an international conference hosted by the Libyan government in Tripoli on the same day.
This is Haftar’s first meeting with a state representative after he resigned his post as general commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) ahead of the presidential elections on December 24.
