Libyan Coast Guard intercepts 198 migrants

198 migrants aboard 2 boats were intercepted last night by the Tripoli-based coast guard and brought back to Libya where they disembarked in Zawiya and in Tripoli, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on Saturday.

“UNHCR and IRC teams attended both operations and provided food, water, and urgent medical assistance to survivors suffering from hypothermia and dehydration,” the U.N. agency said via Twitter.
