Tripoli – The General Electricity Company continues to carry out its technical fieldwork in a number of areas as part of its efforts to increase the efficiency of the electrical grid and improve the level of service provided to citizens.
At the Wshatata station, maintenance teams on Wednesday conducted emergency maintenance work inside the station, located within the Sawf al-Jinn medium-voltage circuit, to address some sudden malfunctions and ensure the stability of the electrical current in the area.
In the Hun area of Al-Jufra, the company’s technical teams continued their work on transformer No. 2 inside the Al-Qaidah 66 kV station, as part of a periodic maintenance plan aimed at enhancing transformer efficiency and improving the performance of the public grid.
The Tajoura area in Tripoli is also seeing progress in the installation of the Al-Azeeb 11/30 kV station project, which aims to resolve electrical bottlenecks caused by increased loads and meet the growing demand for energy in the area.
The company had previously announced the start of the second phase of transporting the first unit for the Tripoli South gas power station, supplied by the German company Siemens. The unit is being transported from the Tripoli seaport to the station’s site via an overland route of about 25 kilometers.
In its statement, the General Electricity Company affirmed its continuation of maintenance and expansion plans in all regions of the country, aiming to ensure the continuity of the electricity supply and improve the system’s efficiency to meet citizens’ needs and keep pace with future development plans.
