Abyar – The administration of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in the municipality of Abyar (east of Benghazi) organized a ceremony to welcome new students for the new academic year, attended by faculty members, administrative staff, representatives of the scientific departments, and a large crowd of new students.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech from the faculty’s administration, which stressed the importance of new students being prepared for their scientific and academic journey and participating in cultural activities.
The event included an orientation program for new students that featured a review of the faculty’s history, its scientific departments, and the services it offers, along with a detailed explanation of internal regulations, academic systems, and how to utilize student support services such as academic advising, the library, and student activities.
The program also briefed the new students on the faculty’s most prominent community and environmental service projects, which reflect its active role in developing the local environment.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the new students toured the faculty’s corridors to familiarize themselves with its facilities, classrooms, library, laboratories, and administrative offices, in a step to enhance their integration into their new educational environment.
