Technical meeting between the National Oil Corporation and Zallaf Company to follow up on 2025 exploration activities

The Exploration Department of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) held its annual technical meeting with the Exploration Department of Zallaf Libya for Oil and Gas Exploration and Production at the NOC’s main headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.

The meeting discussed the company’s overall activity during the year 2025, including completed fieldwork and the progress of ongoing exploration programs in the various sites and concessions belonging to Zallaf. The technical and operational challenges faced by the teams during the current year were also reviewed.

The attendees reviewed future plans, which include reprocessing acquired seismic data, drilling ten new exploratory and appraisal wells, and conducting a number of geological and geophysical studies in cooperation with specialized consulting firms. The attendees also discussed proposals related to the upcoming year’s budget and the approved work programs for 2026, ensuring the continuity of exploration activity and the achievement of the National Oil Corporation’s strategic goals.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Exploration Department at the National Oil Corporation and the member of Zallaf Company’s Management Committee for Exploration Affairs, in addition to a number of specialists and technicians from both sides who gave technical presentations on current and future projects.
