Al-Brega: Fuel supplies normal and precautionary measures to ensure market stability

Saturday, April 25, 2026 Oil & Gas 2 Mins Read
Brega Company implements an urgent plan to end congestion at fuel stations.

Tripoli – Al-Brega Oil Marketing Company issued a clarification. This concerned recent discussions about fuel quality. These discussions occurred over the past two days. They stemmed from limited observations. An unusual odor was noted in some supplied quantities. The company confirmed these quantities were handled. Their pumping was stopped. They were replaced with compliant alternative quantities. This was done as part of the distribution program. This ensures continued supplies. It prevents market disruption.

In a statement published on its official website today, Friday, the company reassured citizens. It stated that supplies are proceeding normally. The fuel currently available at stations is safe. There are no problems with it. The company clarified its role. Its role is limited to receiving and distributing approved petroleum products. It also conducts basic operational checks. These checks ensure the fuel is free of water and impurities. This role does not extend to approving technical specifications. It also does not involve evaluating the chemical composition of products.

In this context, the company emphasized a point. The stopping and replacement procedures are precautionary operational measures. They ensure continuity of supply. These actions should not be interpreted as an admission of responsibility. This responsibility would relate to the quality or technical specifications of the shipments. The company also announced an emergency distribution plan. This plan includes increasing pumping rates. It involves 24-hour operation at several sites. Supplies are being directed towards high-density population areas. Field monitoring is in place. This ensures the smooth flow of fuel to stations. In conclusion, the statement affirmed that efforts are underway. These efforts aim to end congestion. They seek to restore market stability as soon as possible.
