Interior Minister: No tolerance for any threat… Direct support for the Kufra Security Directorate and full coordination between agencies

The Minister of Interior of the Libyan Government, Major General Issam Abu Zariba, held an expanded meeting with Major General Salah al-Din al-Ma’dani, Director of the Police Officers College; Major General Khamis al-Wazzan, Director of the General Administration for Training; and Major General Khaled al-Farisi, Director of the General Administration for Central Support.

According to the ministry’s media office, the meeting was dedicated to discussing the ongoing preparations for forming the main committees responsible for admitting students to the Police Officers College for the 2025-2026 academic year. This aims to ensure the selection of the best national talents based on precise professional and legal standards that reflect the level of discipline and responsibility required to join the security institution.

The meeting addressed the mechanisms of the recruitment process and the legal conditions governing the admission of new students, in addition to establishing controls and procedures for the committees’ work. This includes determining their meeting locations, organizing the admission stages and medical examinations, and overseeing the training and qualification aspects that align with the requirements of modern security work.

During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of transparency and fairness in the admission process and providing opportunities for all applicants according to the specified regulations. He stressed the important role played by the Police Officers College in graduating scientifically and practically qualified cadres capable of performing their national duties with efficiency and competence.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to advancing the level of security education and professional training. This contributes to building a modern police force based on efficiency and discipline, one that keeps pace with modern developments and enhances the nation’s security and stability.
