Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, commander-in-chief of the armed forces, met with Greece’s ambassador to Libya, Ioannis Papameletiou, and the Greek consul general in Benghazi, Athanasios Anastasopoulos, at the general command headquarters. Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Khaleed Haftar was also present.
The meeting covered the latest developments in Libya and internationally. The officials also discussed several issues of mutual concern.
Both sides reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between Libya and Greece across various fields, in order to serve the interests of both countries.
