Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Mangoush, spoke on the phone today with her Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, during which they discussed “commitment to the stabilization” of Libya and “fight combat human trafficking”, according to brief statement by the Italian Foreign Ministry via Twitter.
The Libyan Foreign Ministry also reported on the bilateral call, stating that Tajani expressed “support for the efforts of the current Government of National Unity to reach the presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.”
“The two sides also discussed the file of border guards, confronting illegal immigration, the return of Italian companies to complete the construction of pending projects, including Tripoli International Airport, and the two countries’ readiness to activate joint agreements,” as per the Libyan ministry’s statement.
