The Ministry of Interior in the Government of National Unity held a meeting with a high-level delegation from the European Union Commission, led by the head of civil operations, Stefano Toma, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation for the development of operations at the Ras Jedir border crossing with Tunisia.
The meeting, hosted by the Directorate of the Border Security Office on Wednesday, discussed mechanisms to enhance security coordination between the two sides and ways to support the operational and technical capabilities of the crossing, ensuring the facilitation of passenger and cargo movement across the borders of Libya and Tunisia.
Additionally, the European Union Commission delegation conducted a field tour of the monitoring center in the Al-Assa area, during which they were briefed on the center’s operations and its role in securing the borders.
