Government health authority appointed by Parliament confirms no human casualties from floods in Tihala and Ghat

Benghazi – Libya’s Ministry of Health, under the government appointed by the House of Representatives, announced Friday that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far following heavy rains and flooding in the areas of Tahala and Ghat. This update is based on reports from the southern emergency operations room of the Higher Emergency Committee.

The ministry stated in a release that emergency teams continue to monitor the situation on the ground in coordination with relevant authorities as part of the official emergency response plan for affected regions.

Medical convoys and ambulance teams are providing ongoing healthcare and humanitarian services. They are also supplying local health facilities with necessary medicines and medical supplies to ensure uninterrupted care for residents.

The ministry confirmed that hospitals and emergency centers in the affected areas remain on high alert. All required precautionary measures are in place to respond quickly to any developments and to safeguard citizens’ safety.
