The Tripoli-based High Council of State (HCS) held a consultative session on Sunday to discuss the latest political developments, according to the Council’s media office.
Today’s consultative session comes before the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting scheduled for tomorrow in Tobruk, to discuss the state’s general budget law submitted by the new government, headed by Fathi Bashagha, as well as developments in the constitutional process.
It is expected that HoR and HCS representatives will meet in Cairo on May 15 to resume the meetings of the constitutional track, which aims to agree on the constitutional basis necessary for holding the elections.
