Member of Board of Directors of the Libyan High National Elections Commission (HNEC), Abu Bakr Marda, has said in a press statement that the Commission is not obligated to implement electoral laws that were not issued by a legislative body (Parliament).
Marda statement came after the announcement of the outgoing Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeiebh, that he intends to issue parliamentary electoral laws.
HNEC member added that the Commission was still working on sorting the files of candidates for the parliamentary elections.
