The High Electoral Commission of Libya (HNEC) has postponed the announcement of the final list of presidential candidates and the preliminary lists of candidates for the parliamentary elections following the “large number of requests”.
The Commission said that it will consult with the legal committee of the House of Representatives before making the announcement.
Libya’s presidential elections are set to take place on December 24th, while the parliamentary elections are scheduled for mid February next year.
