The Defense Committee of the House of Representatives has warned against the politicization of Libya’s constitutional circuit following attempts to use it to challenge the parliament’s presidential elections law.
In a letter addressed to the Supreme Judicial Council, the committee said that it holds the council accountable if constitutional circuit was opened for a “single, selective appeal”.
The Defense Committee announced that it will appeal against the former government’s military deal with Turkey and other decision made by the former Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj, whose government never received the vote of confidence from the House.
