The Minister of Interior of the Libyan Government, Issam Abu Zriba, met with the Kufra Security Director, Ihab al-Kazza, to discuss the security situation and security plans within the directorate’s jurisdiction, in addition to the organizational, administrative, and logistical aspects related to its work.
The two sides discussed the latest security developments, mechanisms for enhancing discipline and improving performance efficiency, while reviewing the administrative and logistical requirements supporting the directorate’s tasks.
The meeting addressed the security deployment plan and its implementation mechanisms, and the preparation of a new plan to impose full control over the directorate’s jurisdiction, by forming a joint operations room that includes various security and military agencies to unify efforts and coordinate tasks. They also discussed ways to provide the necessary requirements to enhance capabilities and raise field readiness.
The Minister affirmed there would be no leniency with any threat to security and stability, stressing that the next phase will witness direct support for the directorate and full coordination among security agencies to ensure the establishment of security and stability in the region.
