The Interior Ministry denied on Sunday reports alleging that an armed attack took place in Gate 30 in western Sirte, near the coastal road.
“The checkpoints and patrols on the coastal road are working at full capacity,” the ministry said in a statement via Facebook, adding that “traffic on the public road is regular.”
The ministry warned Libyans not to believe these “misleading news and malicious rumors”.
