An analytical report by the Italian news agency “Nova” highlighted the importance of the visit by the Deputy General Commander of the Armed Forces, Staff Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, to Belarus, considering it to have direct economic and military implications for advancing reconstruction and development.
According to the report, the importance is evident in the activity of several Belarusian companies in the agriculture, industry, and healthcare sectors, as well as civil infrastructure renewal projects. These include the development of the Tobruk seaport and the construction of a new oil refinery to support reconstruction and achieve sustainable development.
The report pointed to military cooperation between Minsk and Benghazi, which includes training programs for Libyan pilots and special forces units. The two sides also approved a mutual system for waiving visas and residence fees for Belarusians and Libyans, which facilitates easier access for Libyan citizens to the Russian Federation.
