New York — The Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations hosted a high-level donor meeting focused on the situation in Libya, featuring participation from Special Representative of the Secretary-General Hanna Tetteh and U.S. Senior Advisor Massad Boulos.
The meeting aimed to discuss international support for Libya’s stability and prosperity, which Italian officials described as essential for the security of the Mediterranean, Europe, and the global community.
During the session, Ambassador Maurizio Massari reaffirmed full support for the United Nations-facilitated process and the ongoing mediation efforts led by the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).
The discussions centered on coordinating international efforts to overcome current challenges and ensure a sustainable transition that meets the aspirations of the Libyan people for unified national institutions.
