JMC continuing its work on ceasefire and mercenaries exit, says member

Member of the Libyan 5+5 Joint Military Committee (JMC), Major General Ahmed Abu Shahma, said the committee is continuing its work in accordance with its terms of reference, namely ceasefire, exit of foreign mercenaries from the country, removal of mines and war remnants, and exchange of prisoners and detainees, as stipulated in Geneva Agreement signed on October 23, 2020.

The committee is seeking to open the road between Abu Qurain Al-Jufra soon, and to help the needy and those affected by war, Abu Shahma said in press statements.

“We seek to release all detainees in Libya, and to contribute to achieving reunification for Libyans and alleviating their suffering, especially with regard to the crises of fuel, cooking gas, water, medicine, and other needs,” he added,
