Aref Al-Nayed, head of the Ihya Libya (English: Reviving Libya) party, told the outgoing British Ambassador Nicholas Hopton that the 5+5 Joint Military Committee must be supported in its demand to freeze foreign military deals and remove foreign forces out of the country.
According to a press statement, Al-Nayed, who is a former candidate for the presidency of Libya, discussed on Sunday with Hopton ways to support the general elections on December 24.
Reviving Libya party was founded in August 2017 by Al-Nayed. Its stated aim is to create a “stable, democratic, and prosperous country.”
