Amman – The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that their air defense systems intercepted and shot down four missiles that entered Jordanian airspace from Iranian territory early Monday morning.
According to a military source quoted by the Petra News Agency, the interception was carried out efficiently as part of measures to protect the kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens. The military confirmed that there were no injuries or property damage as a result of the incident.
Royal Engineering Corps teams responded quickly to handle missile debris that fell in several locations, following established technical and security protocols. Necessary measures were taken to secure the sites and ensure the safety of citizens and property.
The Jordanian Armed Forces stressed that any attempt to violate the kingdom’s sovereignty or airspace will be met firmly, in accordance with established rules of engagement and national interests. The statement emphasized that the armed forces remain committed to taking all necessary steps to protect the country and defend its security and stability.
