As part of ongoing security operations within Benghazi Port, units of the Tariq bin Ziyad Enhanced Brigade, in cooperation with security agencies, seized a 20-foot shipping container arriving from the Netherlands. The container, which arrived on November 3, 2025, was officially documented as a shipment of used spare parts and engines.
Upon thorough inspection, the shipment was found to contain 93 kilograms of the drug “Ice,” also known as crystal methamphetamine or commonly as “Shabu.” The illicit substances were concealed within 93 individual bags, each weighing one kilogram.
Following standard legal protocols, the seized narcotics were destroyed in the presence of the Public Prosecution. The case has been formally referred to the Public Prosecution to complete all necessary legal proceedings and investigations.
