Viewing statistics on the Facebook platform for the first night of the holy month of Ramadan 2026 revealed a remarkable superiority for the eighth season of the series “Shatt Al-Huriya,” which maintained its first-place position as the most-watched artistic work in Libya. The first episode of the series, aired exclusively on Al-Masar TV, recorded more than 1.5 million views within the first few hours of its upload to the platform, which serves as the most prominent digital indicator for measuring the Libyan audience’s interaction and evaluating the success of Ramadan productions.
The comedy series continues in its new season to address Libyan social issues with a satirical style, while delivering implicit messages regarding the current political reality in the country, a factor that has strengthened the audience’s connection to the work over the past years.
In the context of program competition, the sixth season of “Aylatna Aqwa,” broadcast on Libya Al-Ahrar TV, ranked second in terms of viewership, with the first episode exceeding 800k views. The program is based on the idea of a cooking competition among families under the supervision of a specialized jury of chefs.
Third place in terms of digital interaction went to the debut of the prank show “Raddat Fe’el” on Benghazi TV, where the first episode achieved approximately 120k views. This version mimics the famous program “Al-Sadma” by presenting humanitarian situations and testing the public’s reactions.
In the same context, the program “Al-Ghoul” ranked fourth. This horror-style prank show, broadcast on Al-Masar TV, achieved nearly 100k views for its first episode.
Finally, the program “Ta’al Watts” on Salam TV settled in fifth place, with its first episode also garnering approximately 100k views. The program’s concept relies on addressing local social issues in a light, humorous format.
These preliminary figures for the first night of Ramadan reflect the general taste of the Libyan viewer, which has clearly shifted toward works that blend satirical comedy with interactive and entertainment programming.
