Work has begun in the city of Sebha on a strategic project to build an international stadium named after the late Al-Shawish Gharbal, the former mayor of Sebha municipality, who passed away while performing his duties and was an example of dedication and loyalty.
The project’s implementation follows the directives of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief, General Saddam Khalifa, as the implementing companies have commenced work after finalizing the designs and preparing the site. This sports complex is set to represent a qualitative leap for the sports infrastructure in southern Libya.
The project is being executed under the direct supervision of the executive management of the National Development Agency, affirming the leadership’s commitment to upgrading sports and development facilities across the nation and reinforcing the focus on Sebha, the capital of southern Libya.
