The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) has reported on Tuesday that 1,149 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 23 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 16 others died of the virus, while 1,426 have recovered during the same reporting period.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 326,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 240,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 4,457 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 135,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
