Libya records 595 new cases, 13 deaths of COVID-19

The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Tuesday that 595 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 12 others died of the virus, while 1,906 have recovered during the same reporting period.

128 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.

The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 368,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 322,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.

The virus has claimed the lives of 5,403 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 607,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
