The National Center for Disease Control in Libya (NCDC) reported on Sunday that 655 people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 13 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 13 others died of the virus, while 1,603 have recovered during the same reporting period.
126 people are in “critical” condition, said the NCDC.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya have exceeded more than 378,000 since the start of the pandemic, while over 363,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC.
The virus has claimed the lives of 5,553 people in total. Over a million people received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while more than 750,000 were fully vaccinated with two doses.
