Libya has recovered the right to vote within the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) by participating in the selection of the new director general of the organization, after absence for years, announced the Libyan government on Sunday.
The state-owned media platform Hakometna reported that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Hussein al Qatrani, attended the 43rd session of the FAO General Conference in Rome where he made “extensive meetings with his counterparts, and discussed with them ways to support the Libyan position in order to restore the right to vote for the country.”
